INFORMATION ABOUT COOKIES
Due to the entry into force of the amendment to the “Information Society Services Law” (LSSICE), set forth by Royal Decree 13/2012, all websites that use optional cookies are required to obtain the user’s express consent before allowing said user to surf said website.
WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies and other similar technologies such as local shared objects, flash cookies, and tracking pixels are tools used by web servers to store and recover information about their visitors, as well as to provide for the site’s proper functioning. By using these devices, the web server can remember some pieces of data concerning the user, such as his or her preferences for viewing pages on that server, his or her name and password, the products that most interest him or her, etc.
COOKIES AFFECTED BY REGULATIONS AND COOKIES EXCLUDED FROM THE LAW
According to the EU directive to this end, the types of cookies that require informed consent by the user are cookies for analytics, as well as advertising and membership cookies. Those excluded from the law are those of a technical nature and which are necessary for the website’s proper operation or for providing services that have been expressly requested by the user.
WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES ARE THERE?
In terms of types of cookies, there are five major groups:
– Analytics cookies: collect information on the website’s use.
– Social cookies: necessary for external social networks.
– Affiliate cookies: allow for the tracking of visits from other websites with which the website has an affiliate agreement (affiliate marketing companies).
– Advertising and behavioral cookies: collect information on the user’s preferences and personal choices (retargeting).
– Technical and functional cookies: cookies that are strictly necessary for the website’s use and for providing the contracted services.

PHPSESSID: technical cookie that is strictly necessary and which contains the session ID. It is deleted when the browser is closed.
_lang: technical cookie that is strictly necessary and which contains the session language. It is deleted when the browser is closed.
ac_cookies: technical cookie that is strictly necessary and which contains the value indicating if the installation of cookies has been accepted. It expires after 1 year from its last update.
_utma: Google Analytics cookie that logs the dates of the first and last time that the user visited the website. It expires after 2 years from its last update.
_utmb: Google Analytics cookie that logs the time the user arrived to the website. It expires after 30 minutes from its last update.
_utmc: Google Analytics cookie used for interoperability with the urchin.js tracking code. It is deleted when the browser is closed.
_utmt: Google Analytics cookie. This cookie is used to process the type of request made by the user. It expires at the end of the session.
_utmv: Google Analytics cookie. This cookie is used to segment demographic data. It expires at the end of the session.
_utmz: Google Analytics cookie that stores the traffic source or a campaign to explain how the user got to the website. It expires after 6 months from its last update.

HOW TO DELETE COOKIES FROM YOUR BROWSER
Chrome
1. Click on the “Tools” icon.
2. Click on “Settings.”
3. Click on “Show Advanced Options.”
4. In the “Privacy” section, click on “Content Settings.”
• Delete Cookies: Click on “All Cookies and Site Data”…
• Do not allow cookies to be stored.
5. Click on “Clear Browsing Data” (clear cache).
6. Close and restart the browser.

Internet Explorer. Version 11
1. Select “Tools” | “Internet Options.”
2. Click on the “General” tab.
3. In the “Browsing History” section, click “Delete Browsing History on Exit.”
4. Select “Delete Files.”
5. Select “Delete Cookies.”
6. Click on “Delete.”
7. Click on “Accept.”
8. Close and restart the browser.

1. Select “Firefox” | “History” | “Clear Recent History.”
2. Beside “Details,” click on the down arrow.
3. Select the following checkboxes: Cookies, Cache, Active Logins.
4. Using the “Time Range to Clear” drop-down menu, select “Everything.”
5. Click on “Clear Now.”
6. Close and restart the browser.
